By the time this reaches you the centennial celebration might be over, if not come out and enjoy. Not too many organizations get a chance to celebrate 100 years in one city. If you miss this you can come on July 3rd for burgers and hot dogs, bring a dish to pass. It starts at 1:00 PM and last for 2 hours. Bar will be open.
We finally got our permit for the kitchen and work will begin on June 21st. We are anxious to get this done so we can start having meals again. The crock pot meals have worked well for us , but it will be nice to prepare and serve a meal in are own kitchen.
Some of you may be concerned about the road construction taking place near us. During the day there may be some delays, but in the evening traffic is flowing pretty well through the construction so don’t let the construction keep you away.
We also have the air conditioner operational this year which should help this summer. As time passes and we get more familiar with the conditioner we will be able to control it better. All the controls are downstairs which normally is cooler so we have to allow for that. We may find that the thermostat should be moved upstairs, but time will tell. We are asking that the double entrance doors be kept shut so we may keep the cool air in the social quarters. Don't forget we have Buddy Miller on July 17Th, so come out and dance. If you would like to see other bands just let us know.

The first Friday of every month is Texas Holdem Night.

The Moose Legion is having meetings on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm. This is also the women’s meeting nights, so guys come on out to the meeting, the more people the more fun! The Moose Legion is still cooking burgers and brats on the BBQ grill on the first and third Tuesday of the Month. The cost is $3.00 and starts at 6:00pm.

We started work on the kitchen and hopefully we will have it up and running soon.

The Lodge celebrated it’s 100th Anniversary on June 26th with food, fun and dancing. The band was Harris and Harris a new band for the lodge. There was plenty of food. Everyone that came out had a great day and enjoyed themselves.

We had some new entertainment in June for the centennial Harris and Harris they were great and we may have them back.

Keep checking the calendar each month as the Board of Officers are adding new things each month and still need your input as to what you all would like to do at YOUR Lodge. As you know we need you to come out so we are able to pay the bills without having to get into the savings account. Remember a burden heavy to one is born lightly by many.

Please remember why we are in existence. The children at Mooseheart and the seniors at Moosehaven are counting on us. Once you go to either place you would do anything and everything to keep them going. Along that line is the Gimme Five program. Three years ago at International Convention, Moose International presented a program that would ensure the financial safety of both our Cities. If each member would put back 5 cents a day, twice a day for 365 days a year and send that amount into Moose Charities, which comes up to $36.50 per year for 5 years we would put back enough to ensure keeping our cities going. Most of the endowment funds that are collected are put into a fund that we collect interest on to help run our twin cities. When the stock market fell we lost approximately $72 million dollars. The Gimme Five program is to help us out. If you would like to donate the $36.50 a year or the total for five years of $182.50 just give me call and I will send it in for you. Please remember this is also tax deductible. This program is available to men and women. I am the men’s State Gimme Five Chairman.
